PKR: Be warned of dirtiest election, more porn

As polls loom, so are more explicit video clips originating from BN's election machinery.

The warning is sounded by PKR secretary general Saifuddin Nasution, as UMNO bloggers stepped up their war on Pakatan Rakyat by posting sex videos which they claim involve opposition leaders.

Saifuddin, saying Malaysians should prepare for the "dirtiest election in the country’s history" amid fears among BN leaders of the coalition's historic defeat, today said more such doctored videos are in the pipeline in the coming days.

"We are reliably informed that besides the present doctored video attempting to besmirch Anwar Ibrahim’s reputation, other sexual videos supposedly with other PKR leaders in them will be distributed soon.

"These videos are the result of digital image manipulation involving the coupling of separate scenes to provide the impression that our leaders are participating in sexual misconduct," he said, who named Anwar's daughter and Lembah Pantai member of parliament Nurul Izzah Anwar as among those to be victimised by the vile campaign.

He described BN's campaign as two-pronged: 'scaring' Malay voters with issues touching on Malay power as well as distribution of pornographic clips to accuse PR leaders.

But he said PKR leaders were ready to fight off the accusations, giving instances from history including the stories of Prophet Joseph, Mary and Aishah, the wife of Prophet Muhammad who was accused of adultery.

"If these noble souls have been tested as such, surely humble men and women like ourselves will not be exempt from challenges and accusations. The experience will only increase our fortitude in this struggle and spurs us forward with more determination," said Saifuddin.

Saifuddin said the latest campaign only underlined the fears of losing power.

Analysts are predicting the coming polls as the closest fought in the nation's history. Many have also said that several top leaders of BN as well as its component parties, most notably MCA, could be wiped out from the political scene as it faces the strongest ever opposition pact yet.

"UMNO leaders know their time is up. Despite their unrelenting arrogance, we are informed that their own intelligence reports tell them they are about to lose the election," Saifuddin added. -HD
