Around 300 people from three non-governmental organisations held a protest in front of Komtar today against Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
The group had earlier gathered near the Masjid Jamek Simpang Enam around 1.30pm and walked to Komtar in Jalan Magazine where the state government offices are housed.
A memorandum containing 10 demands was handed over to a member of Lim’s staff, Shen Jian Wei.
The document contained among others calls to Lim to fulfill the promises he had made five years ago when he became the chief minister.
The protest was organised by Malaysia Youth Rights Movement (MYRM), Penang Youth Community Association and 1Malaysia Brother Association.
