AMK regrets suspension of two PAS men

PETALING JAYA: Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Deputy Chief Fahmi Fadzil registered his deep regret at the one-year suspension of two PAS Selangor state assemblymen, Saari Sungib (Hulu Kelang) and Hasnul Baharuddin (Morib) today.

He said it was a known fact the duo was being penalised for standing with 28 others in support of Wan Azizah as the new Menteri Besar of Selangor on August 15.

Fahmi added, ”Although the disciplinary action taken against these two PAS assemblymen is in accordance with their party’s constitution, we must remember it was also the duo’s democratic right to endorse Wan Azizah.”

In defending the actions of Saari and Hasnul, Fahmi said they were merely doing their part to help resolve the Selangor political crisis by abiding by the constitutional laws of Selangor.

Fahmi said, “It was a bold move on their part to strengthen the bond among other assemblypersons in Pakatan Rakyat within the framework of tahaluf siyasi (cooperation).
