City Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Gan Kong Meng confirmed the arrests of the four, aged between 30 and 54.
The four teachers, three men and a woman, were arrested this afternoon at different locations in Parit Buntar (Perak) and Penang.
It is understood that authorities seized the smartphones and laptops of the suspects to facilitate investigations.
The leakage of the UPSR Science and English examination papers has forced the Education Ministry to reschedule the sitting of the English and Science papers to September 30.
In a brief statement, Gan said the four teachers were arrested around 3.30pm and various devices, including laptops and smartphones, had been seized.
It is understood a police forensic team will be checking the devices as the leaked papers had been uploaded onto the Internet.

Police are expected to produce the four teachers in court tomorrow to obtain a remand order to facilitate investigations.
