Even though Samsung is yet to officially unveil the Galaxy Mega 2 around the world, a Malaysian retailer has reportedly marketed the phones, quoting MYR 1,299 for the device, which roughly translates to $410.
A Malaysian daily was the first to spot this advertisement, published by SenHeng Distributors, as part of a promotional scheme of Maybank’s Credit Cards. The advertisement included production-level specifications along with the price and was listed for sale.
According to info gathered from the post, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 sports a 6-inch TFT touch screen, packing in 1280x720pixel. This device is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, along with 1.5GB of RAM. This smartphone comes with built-in Android KitKat 4.4 while featuring around 8GB of built-in storage along with an external memory slot.
We are yet to receive formal reports on the total memory capability of this device. We have confirmations regarding camera capability, which is 2.1MP on the front and 8MP on the rear end. The above-mentioned specifications were revealed earlier, although, without an official word from Samsung, it will be impossible to confirm any of these features.
Word is out that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is powered by a 2,800 mAh battery while featuring LTE Cat.4 connectivity, FM Radio and VoLTE support. The Mega 2 was previously spotted in China while a series of images along with a list of specifications were revealed at the time.
