DAP ticks off PAS for attending exco meeting

Sacked DAP executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah hit out at PAS exco members, who attended the exco meeting today, despite calls by its coalition partners to boycott it in a show of solidarity with their sacked counterparts.

Ean said today that his party was disappointed with the move of the four PAS members who insisted on sticking by Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, adding that it portrayed sheer disregard for Pakatan Rakyat unity.

"DAP is disappointed in PAS because they went to the meeting. They clearly do not possess the Pakatan spirit," he told reporters at the lobby of the state secretariat building in Shah Alam this morning.

He also called on Khalid to step down from the Selangor menteri besar post immediately and return the mandate to the people.

Last night, DAP and PKR had appealed to the four PAS excos to boycott today’s meeting as a gesture of solidarity for the six exco members sacked by Khalid. – TMI
