A hardware sales manager and a woman, both of whom were naked, were found dead in a car in Bandar Cyber here last night.
Perak deputy police chief Datuk A. Paramasivam said the couple, aged 58 and 51, were discovered by the manager’s wife in the front seats of the car, a blue Proton Wira, in the garage of the hardware store.
“The car engine was running when the wife discovered them,” he told reporters at the scene.
He said at about 7.55pm, the wife went to the nearby police station to report that her husband had not returned home since last Thursday.
An hour after that, the wife, together with several family members, had gone looking for the husband at the scene, located behind a budget hotel in Bandar Cyber.
Paramasivam said the manager’s wife then saw smoke coming from the shop’s garage and started to prise open the roller shutter doors to enter it.
“Upon entering, the wife found the husband and an unknown woman in the car,” he said.
Paramasivam added that police investigations into the incident also found a green Iswara Aeroback car, believed to belong to the female victim, outside the shop.
Preliminary investigations showed there were no injuries on the bodies of both victims, he said.
Further investigations into the case were being carried out and police hade not classified the case as yet, he said.
“We will look at the autopsy report and see if it is a murder or suicide case,” he said.
Both bodies have been sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here for post-mortem.
